Education is the best weapon we can use to build a strong future. Twenty years ago, I earned my bachelor's degree (Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering) in my native land, the Philippines. Years after, my family and I migrated here to the United States of America. I was hired in the year 2016 and presently working at Parker Hannifin Corporation as Bio Systems Operator. I work very hard to give the life I dreamed of to my family, but what I earned is not enough.

For me to achieve my ambitions for my family I know that education will lead me to my goal. Having a degree earned from my country, I still need a refresher course (Occupational Associate in Information Technologies and Network Systems) and online schooling is my option to pursue my studies while working full time. I searched for the institution that best suits my schedule and luckily I found Laurus College.

Being a family man, working full time, and being a student at the same time is very hard. But with determination and perseverance, nothing is impossible. I work during day time and do online schooling at night. Many times I felt exhausted and drained and I even fell asleep on the chair several times while doing online class, lucky my video camera is paused, but, I never give up because I have a goal and I am determined to succeed. No obstacle will block your dream if you are focused on your purpose.

Thank you to my family, and my parents for the endless support. Special thanks to my wife Alegria, who encourages and believes in me even if I doubted myself many times. Thank you for the unconditional love and support for cheering me up when I'm down and don't know how to finish all the homework, quizzes, lab exercises, projects and so much more. Thank you to my kids for understanding their dad for not having much time to bond with them because I had to work, face my laptop and attend my online class.

I also want to express my sincerest gratitude to the amazing Laurus College. It has been my great honor and privilege to study at this prestigeous institution. Thank you to the very considerate and supportive instructors who shared their knowledge and expertise. All praise and glory to our God Almighty for all the blessings, strengths, and wisdom. I owe everything to Him.

A dream does not become reality through magic; it takes determination, sweat, and hard work. I never imagined myself sharing my experiences along the road to success. I thought I will never make it. But I made it! We made it! We should be proud of ourselves because we accomplished one of the milestones in our lives. It was not easy, everyone knows that, but it was worth all the sacrifices we went through.

This is just the beginning of our journey. We already surpassed the most challenging yet most fulfilling part, and I believe that our dreams for ourselves and our family will come our way so soon. Just keep going!
